This large FMCG Logistics provider has a comprehensive fleet of over 250 vehicles which maintains an effective distribution network to major retailers, wholesalers and even smaller retail outlets throughout the kingdom.

Job Description

The role

The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the Warehouse & transportations teams, in order that the teams delivers to the business an effective and efficient warehouse and transport service on a 3PL model basis which meets the customer's needs and to ensure that Distribution capability always matches the business growth plans, as part of the team, for the strategic direction of the business.

You will be responsible for net financial results of the business operations will generate results in line with market practices and give satisfactory returns to Shareholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering financial targets, people targets, and customers' expectations.
  • Managing financial targets, people targets, customers
  • Responsibility for the Sites Operational Plans - establish and review Distribution Plans
  • Responsibility for Budgets and KPIs/Performance
  • Drive continuous improvement towards cost efficiency and capacity utilization.
  • Developing & improving Company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for creating a 'best in class' warehouse & transport operation and a strategic plan in line with company growth plans which will deliver a competitive advantage.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a track record in Logistics distribution and supply chain management ideally within a multi site, fast paced FMCG / Food distribution environment.

  • Minimum of 15 years senior level management experience within logistics.
  • Have a proven track record of performance management within a 3PL or in-house distribution environment covering FMCG products.
  • To have worked at a senior level within a distribution supply chain organization, as a third party supplier and / or in-house.
  • The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and warehouse operations experience with FMCG.
  • Experience in developing plans for constructing new warehouses would be an advantage.
