Job Description

  • Support and enhance existing to E-Business Suite (EBS) implementations.
  • Support and enhance existing E-Business Suite departments' critical business reports.
  • Participate in analysis of new E-Business Suite business requirements and recommends solutions.
  • Commit development efforts to other IT projects reporting within a matrix managed environment.
  • Provide day-to-day 1st and 2nd level support for EBS production systems.
  • Identify problems and potential resolutions to support end users.
  • Analyze and resolve issues relating to interfaces between EBS and various systems components.
  • Diagnose and fix problems, resolving and/or escalating issues where possible.
  • Work with other development and testing teams to facilitate onward development of E-Business Suite System according to plans and ensures that new software modules meet functional requirements.
  • Ensure that documentation and other support processes are followed to facilitate excellent quality control and team-working.
  • Take ownership of specific Business Solutions tasks covering analyses, development, and testing on-going production support.
  • Participate actively in other IT projects on as needed basis under matrix management.
  • Share/acquire skills and knowledge with/from other analysts/developers within IT.
  • Update records and prepare statistical summaries or analysis of problem types and categories as directed
  • Report status of allocated tasks periodically and on ad-hoc basis to line manager and designated project managers.
  • Liaise where necessary with relevant IT and Business contacts to progress support and enhancement tasks.
  • Seek out new ways to improve existing solutions.
  • Communicate directly with individuals / groups of customers on related problems.
  • Liaise frequently within ITD, ERP Support, and where relevant with business representatives as part of the allocated maintenance or enhancement tasks.

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years+ experience within Applications Development and Support in Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Forms Builder, Reports Builder, OAF Development, XML Reports, Workflow Builder, Alert Manager, Java Experience, Interfaces (Inbound & Outbound).
  • Experience of HRMS, Payroll, Financial, AOL, FA and Performance Management Modules.
  • Experience in relational data modelling using ER notations.
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to deal effectively with colleagues, senior management and external partners
