Job Description

  • Plan and execute quality assurance/control system within set local and international safety and quality standards
  • Develop company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met
  • Working with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • Setting standards for quality as well as health and product safety
  • Ensuring production processes meet international and national standards
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
  • Monitoring performance by gathering and analysis of relevant data and producing statistical reports
  • Making suggestions for changes and improvements (to reduce waste and increase efficiency)
  • Using relevant quality tools to present quality driven opportunities to improve business
  • Support NPD and lead initiatives for product and process improvements
  • Quality System Management
  • Maintain and advance accreditation in local and international quality and safety standards for ISO 9001/22000, and Saudi Quality Mark (SASO)
  • Address, investigate, analyze and solve customer complaints related to product quality and safety, efficiently and effectively
  • Coordinate and consult with regulatory consultancy institutes and suppliers (local and international) to achieve company visions and goals
  • Advise the management team on major decisions related to product quality, safety, and cost control in order to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assess, evaluate and appraise performance of staffs based on KPI to ensure outstanding performance is achieved, recognized & rewarded
  • Prepare, control and allocate the annual departmental budget to ensure that expenditure is in line with business lines

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Sc. & M.Sc. level, ideally in Food Technology or microbiology
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in related food Industry, in managerial responsibilities of similar scope
  • Functional knowledge of statistical analysis tools & applications
  • English/Arabic communication skills is a must
