About Our Client
Regional Bank with offices in Qatar
To manage and implement all aspects of the special project as detailed by the CEO and based on the main guidelines received from Business Development; and in coordination with the project coordinator. The incumbent is also responsible to ensure timely delivery of special project outputs and to coordinate the various special project components and inputs whilst ensuring synchronised actions that are responsive to project main players.
Contribute to the formulation of the department's strategy and strategic goals based on the direction of the Executive Director of Special Projects and CEO; oversee the implementation and performance of the strategy and periodically report on its performance to the Executive Director of Special Projects.
Contribute to the development of the department's strategic and operational budgets based on the planned expenditures of the department; monitor the performance of the department's budget(s) and report to the Executive Director of Special Projects on a periodic basis.
Scope and implement the Bank's special projects and strategic initiatives, including the development and implementation of the strategic plan and long-range strategic initiatives, as determined by the CEO and initiated by the Business Development Manager
Manage project operations workflow within local and international broadcasting networks.
Support the ED Special Projects, and all project staff in the development and periodic updating of the project to capture monthly and quarterly reporting and documentation.
Liaise with the PMO and Quality team to follow the Bank's project Management norms and to keep them updated about the various special projects being undertaken.
Take the lead in maintaining a clear and effective project monitoring and evaluation plan against qualitative and quantitative indicators ensuring that accountability and learning is taking place at all levels in the project and this is documented and shared
Ensure that special projects undertaken by the Bank are executed or monitored in compliance with the Project Management framework.
Conduct monitoring visits to project sites along with the member from the Quality & PMO Team of the Bank to meet the partners and beneficiaries/stakeholders for necessary verification of the reported progress.
Monitor the progress of the ongoing project and prepare the projects progress and final reports
Manage the Review and Evaluation activities and ensure project learning is well-documented and shared widely within the team and with the respective client.
Provide timely and accurate information about the projects to the ED Special Projects; as and when required.
Monitor the actual expenses vs. budget on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Ensure proper distribution of information for control and decision making processes.
Provide timely, accurate and complete progress reports to the involved Business Head on project progress and operational progress of the Special Project; if any Business Unit is involved
Develop, recommend, and maintain accurate and current project budgets
Develop work breakdown structure, detailed project plans and schedules and be accountable for monitoring and reporting on project metrics, issues, risks and overall progress
Responsible for bringing the project to closing, which may include creating an end of project report or evaluation document, which captures the relevant lessons learned.
Give presentations and conduct meetings on issues regarding assigned projects..
Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard sensitive information.
Provide timely and accurate information to the external auditors as and when required.
Allocate work to subordinates, nominate for training as per the Bank's guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.
Participate in the identification of training and development initiatives for all subordinates
Supervise direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counselling. Provide recommendations to HR & Admin on hiring and promotions.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree - essential
A minimum of 11-12 years of relevant work experience
Bi-lingual English & Arabic - essential
Project Management experience within Financial Services
