Reporting to the Group Executive VP and to the Parent Group CFO, this highly visible role will provide financial, planning, risk management, control leadership and commercial support to the Group contributing to propelling it on its current 30% + compounding growth trajectory
Key responsibilities/accountabilities
• Key role in the formulation of strategic plans to ensure growth meets targets
• Driving cultural change throughout to execute agreed upon business strategy
• Developing and actioning of key tools and progress measuring barometers
• Timely, complete and accurate monthly, quarterly, annual financial reporting & analysis in the level of detail required by each internal and external user group.
• Effective cash flow management. Focus areas will include: capital efficiency management (working capital minimization; Capex financial control management; capital employed barometers and strategies).
• As required, liaise with the internal and external stakeholders including business heads, government agencies, suppliers, lawyers, insurance companies, consultants & advisors, auditors.
• Identify financial, legal. insurance and business risk areas. Lead actions to mitigate these risks.
• Internal controls; Financial & accounting policies, procedures as well as related compliance.
• All matters pertaining to any applicable taxation (i.e. Zakat; withholding taxes; etc)
• Mentoring / developing the Finance team members in the various units.
• Working with Group Mgmt re: next growth stages (e.g. spinoffs; venture capital; partnerships; strategic alliances; IPO)
Who we're looking for
Qualifications:
• Degree in accounting/finance and a professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA, CA, CMA, CPA.
Essential experience:
• Emphasis will be on the operational component of the Finance Function. Therefore, could appeal to a strong Controller with the required experience and chemistry looking for next step in career
• Significant experience including time at a Managerial level (Controller, FD, etc at unit; division; subsidiary; company) in an extensive multi site environment
• Extensive Auto Dealer "hands on" experience. Key requirement will be their understanding of complex, large inventory, widely dispersed supply chain (including parts and service) / logistics situations with customer focus (internal and external) in fast growing, fast changing situations
• Significant ERP exposure (SAP; Kerridge / Auto Line preferred)
• Commercially astute. Must have directly supported business unit leaders
