General Manager

Aluminium Extrusion

As the General Manager based in Abu Dhabi, you will have full responsibility for the erection and commissioning of the entire Greenfield aluminium extrusion plant and importantly lead the supervision of the construction project.

You will be required to set-up and lead the management team that will facilitate the day-to-day operations and; coordinate with all external stakeholders to ensure both the concerns and interests are upheld on behalf of the board and the company.

In addition, you will be responsible for developing and regulating all company, client and project policies and procedures. You will also provide direction to the planning, scheduling and engineering functions and implement the business development and marketing strategies.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will posses a minimum of 15 years management experience within an aluminium extrusion plant or; general management experience within an industrial plant that adds value to aluminium extruded profiles coupled with 7 years of managing an aluminium extrusion plant.

In addition, you will have a proven ability managing an aluminium extrusion plant with a turnover in the range of US$150 million and an output in excess of 30,000 tonnes per annum.

Furthermore, you will have a thorough knowledge of the aluminium industry and a strong understanding of industrial business models from an 'aluminium extrusions' view-point.

You will also have demonstrable experience in the construction and management of Greenfield and/or Brownfield aluminium extrusion projects.

The successful candidate must also posses a Technical or Engineering degree related to manufacturing and/or heavy industries. In conjunction with the technical requirements, you will also have proven experience leading large, diverse teams across human resources, finance and commercial sales.

Our client has recently formed a Joint Venture based in Abu Dhabi for the purpose of setting up a 'Greenfield' regional aluminium extrusion company. This state of the art facility will deliver 'high-end' aluminium products to the automotive, aerospace and industrial markets across the Middle East and globally.
