Learning & Development Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, you will play a leading role in providing a comprehensive learning and development service to ensure high performance across the organisation.
Major responsibilities include;
• Designing learning strategies to ensure the development of an organisational learning culture.
• Lead projects, including needs analysis, curriculum design, materials development and learning delivery.
• Engage managers to ensure that organisational and individual learning and development initiatives meet their requirements.
• Facilitate face-to-face learning across a range of topics in the areas of management and supervision, interpersonal skills, communication, core skills, wellness, safety and English as a second language.
• Set up and manage development/assessment centres.
• Coordinate coaching and mentoring programs.
• Oversee Quality and Assurance of Learning and Development activities.
• Facilitate team development processes.
• The position is approximately 50% - 60% delivery focussed.

Who we're looking for
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant HR experience gained within an internationally recognised University, however candidates from HR centric world class organisations with best practice systems and processes will also be considered.
We require 10 years relevant L&D specialist experience of which at least three should be in a leading role.
In addition to the above, candidates should have the following attributes;
• Understanding of organizational behaviour and management, and alignment of learning and development with organizational strategy
• Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
• Management of processes, projects and people
• Advanced knowledge of the field of adult learning, with sound grasp of at least one national educational qualification framework
• Familiarity with staff and faculty development in a higher education environment would be a strong recommendation
