The Strategic Buyer focuses on implementing sourcing strategies for Services & Indirect materials, with a strong focus on Marketing.The role of the Strategic Buyer is to develop and implement a world-class sourcing strategy in line with the company's strategic and financial objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the candidate will focus on the development of the category strategy for the Middle East region, based on annual requirement/budgets and identification of opportunities for synergies across the region
• Savings tracking and reporting - The candidate should be able to measure and track performance related to S&IM, and ensures timely communication to keep business partners informed of progress/benefits related to strategic projects and initiatives.
• Evaluation and Management of supplier base
• Management of internal customer base - The candidate should effectively engage and align stakeholders (including marketing, sales and legal) to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and to ensure that procurement value delivery is understood and recognized as an important contributor to the organization's competitive advantage in the marketplace.
• Negotiation and management of contractual agreements

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant business field
• Prior experience in indirect materials, preferably in the marketing category
• 3 years procurement experience within an FMCG environment
