Sales Director - Structural Steel

As Sales Director - Structural Steel you will report into the UAE based General Manager and take full ownership for the spirit, direction and growth strategy for the organization within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this exciting opportunity, your mandate will include:

• Assist in the launch of the regional sales office, create excitement in having a permanent presence.
• Take control of the country management, in developing new, and expanding existing business opportunities within the Kingdom.
• Prepare business plans and agree sales targets and profit margins in liaison with the General Manager
• Develop major projects across a range of markets both Government and Private sectors including sporting facilities, airports, rail, retail, ports, leisure, oil & gas and commercial based applications.
• Take regular / periodic visits to promote new business and follow up on sales opportunities with customers in the support of Agents, Distributors, Architects, Consultants and Construction Companies within the defined region.
• Actively control and monitor all sales orders from receipt through to delivery in conjunction with the Head Office.

In addition you will be responsible to search for, select and appoint suitable Agents and Distributors for those areas / countries not already represented within the region.

Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role you will be a charismatic senior sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, superior delivery and the ability to embrace new ideas and concepts. You will have a strong network in Saudi Arabia with the ability to track major projects in the region and liaise with senior decision makers. In addition to:

• Post Graduate degree from a reputed institute, MBA is a plus
• 10-15 years of sales & marketing experience in construction or structural steel industry, with at least 5 years as functional head of sales & marketing in similar industry
• Results orientated professional who takes responsibility for results and own actions.
• Be educated to Degree level preferably in a Sales/Business/Engineering/ Construction discipline.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry within Saudi Arabia, including current and upcoming projects.
• Understanding of specification selling and product placement.
• Imperative to be an excellent communicator fluent in English and ideally Arabic.
• Have a good understanding of the structural steel industry
