Senior Director - Revenue Cycle

An opportunity has arose for a new Senior Director, revenue cycle at the Cleveland Clinic hospital Abu Dhabi. This is substantial leadership role at a flagship Mubadala Healthcare subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates
This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the revenue cycle across the hospital and reviewing and developing processes and systems to improve financial performance and generate cash flow. This position is also responsible for providing overall decision support, organizational planning and operational leadership toward accurate and timely accounting, balancing and reporting of patient revenue generated at the hospital as a result of effective and efficient reimbursement, billing and collection processes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develops and directs the implementation of business planning policy, procedures and tracking
• Provides management supervision and operational direction for physician billing units
• Works to enhance the revenue cycle across the hospital
• Acts as an internal consultant in the development of financial business plans
• Develops processes and systems to improve financial performance and cash flow
• Develops, implements and monitors action plans to address improvements in account receivable management
• Ensures consistent implementation of hospital financial policies for accounts receivable issues
• Leads project management support for all projects utilizing long range plan models
• Supports corporate compliance initiatives
• Oversees the maintenance of financial planning reports and the use of short and long-term financial forecasting tools
• Develops and oversees strategic financial planning analysis activities
Who we're looking for
• The successful candidate will have significant healthcare experience, preferably with a revenue cycle focus.
• Must have billing, medical record management, patient admission and discharge experience
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial statements and systems
• Experience of IT system implementation
• Recent experience of policy and procedure creation
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Arabic language preferred but not essential
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration, or related field is required
• Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration, or an internationally recognised accounting qualification.
