Regional Financial Controller

Ensure that the financial performance of the Region is transparent and that the levers for achieving the business targets of the Region, especially sales, market share and sales contribution margin, are well understood and applied appropriately. Ensure that the financial performance is as predictable as possible and that non-achievement of targets is recognized early and addressed with appropriate measures.

Financial controlling, processes and projects:
• Contribute to overall Regional strategy, especially in commercial and financial aspects
• Monitor legal and commercial compliance of transactions in the Region
• Evaluate sales projects on regional and overall profitability
• Analyze the Regional financial performance on a regular basis
• Manage working capital, especially trade receivables, including, as necessary, credit analyses, monitoring of payment conditions, tracking of overdue receivables and exception approvals
• Initiate, drive and monitor measures and programs which improve the sales contribution margin in conjunction with Regional Marketing
• Ensure use of group standards, alignment and commercial best practice sharing across all countries in the Region
• Manage and support the further development of the country Financial Controllers within the Region
• Coordinate with Accounting and Treasury to ensure that liquidity and currency exposure risks are managed

Planning & forecasting:
• Coordinate the Region's strategic planning process and support of the generation of challenging but achievable targets for the Region
• Plan and Forecast the Region's financial performance in terms of sales, gross profit and specific expense elements
• Enforce use of sales forecasting tools across all sales entities in order to generate transparency with respect to the sales funnel and in order to generate a solid basis for sales revenue and production planning

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a professional qualified candidate, (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other international equivalent) for this Regional Financial Controller position with experience of running a finance function and reporting into a MNC head quarters.

• Experience within the Healthcare industry in an important selection criteria for this role
• In-depth knowledge of relevant accounting standards
• Proven abilities in financial planning, reporting and control at a senior level
• Sound financial acumen, commercial judgment and leadership abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
