The title of this role is General Manager - Power Projects, based in Jeddah. This critical position will report into the Managing Director and be responsible for strategic and operational management of the Power Projects division. Your main aim will be to provide the best power solutions that guarantee customer satisfaction and profitability by running an efficient, effective reliable and safe operation. Key responsibilities will include directing the optimization of productivity in terms of equipment and manpower utilization, technical and commercial project evaluation and estimation, aggressively pursuing bids for new PP opportunities, and finally planning staff development and succession planning to promote sustained growth and to support long term diversification strategies. Who we're looking for
In order to be relevant for this role, you must be a degree qualified engineer with experience in either the equipment rental, power rental, contract logistics or construction sector. You need a minimum of 15 years experience in the Project Management industry, having reached senior management level in a large or multinational company. It would be ideal if you have both a mix of regional Middle East and international experience, but most importantly you will have worked within the region. Our client would like someone who has worked in a multi-service and client focused organisation, preferably offering a wide range of products and services. In addition to requiring P&L management experience, it will be your impressive operation and people management skills that you will make you success in securing this role. You will be someone who is strong at managing teams of people and enjoys being both onsite ensuring a project is running properly, as well as developing operational and commercial strategy back at the head office. Charismatic and assertive, you will be confident in dealing with customers while ensuring there is always enough activity in the business pipeline. You must be able to live and work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and our client is open to all nationalities.

About our client
This organisation is part of a large, well respected parent company, but is a stand alone company with 350 staff and has been in operation since 2004 and is currently experiencing strong growth and a healthy profit. They have a mix of local, regional and expat staff and boast a professional culture and great work place. This role, Power Generation General Manager, based in Jeddah, will develop into a Managing Director role in 3-5 years time within one of the parent company's business divisions. This is major selling point of this organisation - their ability to promote within.

What's on offer
