Commercial Manager - Dredging

• Over arching responsibility for the cost management procurement and contracting of all projects.
• Develop a business plan for the company's cost management, procurement and contracting.
• Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to explore alternative vendors, materials and recourses.
• Conduct one-on-one relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
• Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
• Create and conduct proposal presentations. Assist Finance Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Provide for continuous control, review and follow-up of commercial operations to ensure objectives are obtained, changes are coordinated, and problems resolved.
• Maintain and develop existing commercial relationships.
• As the department develops responsibilities will include leading, managing complex proposal writing efforts, developing pricing strategy, performing financial and competitive analyses, assessing market conditions related to pricing and contract negotiations, preparation of fixed price reviews, leading to model development; preparation of cost element breakdowns.

Who we're looking for
• University degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 15 years relevant experience.
• Strong dredging & possibly some marine experience.
• Hands on experience on large projects in UAE is preferred
• Ability to pursue new business opportunities
• Knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems and processes along with FEDEC advantageous.
