Advisor - Social Development

The Social Development Advisor will have responsibility to:
Study social issues relevant to the growth and expansion phase in the emirate of Abu Dhabi as well as other social contemporary issues in the GCC and international countries that has a direct effect on the country and provide appropriate recommendations;
The Advisor will develop and maintain a database of all research and studies findings and ensure they are accessible by all relevant Divisions/ Sections and perform research and social studies in coordination with other government departments that are beneficial to multiple entities;
The Advisor will also perform research and social studies to identify and analyze the social directives and trends inside and outside the country;
analyze the different studies and research obtained from external entities related to social activities; prepare an annual report regarding the social development for various functions in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, including the achievements attained by the Emirate;
In addition the role will study all aspects of society, from past events and achievements to human behaviour, attitudes and relationships among groups as well as various social, religious, political, and business organizations; and analyze the different ways in which individuals and groups make decisions, exercise power, and respond to change the effect of social traits such as gender, age, or race on a person's perception and self representation.
This role is of high importance in the applicationof a variety of research techniques to gather relevant information, including document analysis, surveys, case studies, interviews and inConducting literature searches using electronic databases and carry out or direct field work to gather information. The role is instrumental inoffering research-based briefings and advice, which may involve writing action plans, suggesting solutions to social, business, governmental, and environmental problems;

Who we're looking for
Minimum of 10 years of experience working within a key government position dealing with social affairs across a range of key development issues.
