An exciting start-up (extremely well-funded) with solid foundations who are now looking to launch in the UAE. B2B platform connecting the F&B/hospitality industry with suppliers.

Job Description

Your primary responsibilities as country manager will be:

  • Ensure relying on metrics that matter: long-term revenue growth, customer value, and partner understanding of the our product and solutions
  • Identify, implement, and track the Key Performance Indicators to track the health of our business
  • Be client-facing in crucial client meetings while mentoring and managing the front-line Individual Contributors
  • Leverage your industry knowledge and in-market relationships to foster growth
  • Establish and develop partnerships with key strategic
    partners in the food, FMCG, and retail sectors.
  • Direct the research, identification, prioritization and
    implementation of new partnerships to increase our
    brand awareness, acquire new customers and increase
  • Establishment and maintenance of the partner network
  • Management of total account and overall portfolio
    including achieving revenue, profit and volume targets
    while meeting account service expectations
  • Develop and execute strategic customer acquisition
  • Build customer business plans with key strategies to
    sustain growth
  • Present business plans to senior management both
    internally and externally with customers
  • Review and evaluate performance in achieving sales
    and execution objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing key customer management contacts
    to expedite resolution of customer concerns and
  • Assist in development of customer supply chain.
    Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams
    to maximize results and minimize customer issues.

The Successful Applicant

To be a successful applicant for this role, you must have the below experience:

  • 5 - 7 years' experience in sales or country management position in F&B, food-tech, or food-service
  • FMCG or F&B/ food tech industry experience an advantage
  • Experience managing and leading sales, marketing and operations teams
  • Experience launching international brands or a brand into new markets
  • Proficient analytical and strategic planning skills to drive business planning
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in
    the field of strategic partnerships / business
    development with a strong track record in establishing
    and implementing such partnerships
  • Excellent knowledge (ideally initial experience) in the
    food and e-commerce industries
  • Basic marketing knowledge is an advantage - e.g. how
    and when to use the different marketing channels for
    strategic partnerships
  • Excellent market knowledge, deep understanding of
    consumer insights
  • A data-based approach and analytical skills are a must
    Imaginative and creative problem solver: a knack for
    recognizing great opportunities for cooperation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and reporting
    skills
