Job Description

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies and frameworks that align with organisational goals and technical architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and engineering teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and smooth integration into ETL pipelines.
  • Define and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures across the organisation, ensuring alignment with data engineering practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate data management and ETL processes to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Lead data quality and integrity improvement initiatives to strengthen analytics and decision-making.
  • Provide guidance and training on data governance principles, tools, and best practices to business and engineering stakeholders.
  • Support the adoption and integration of data governance tools and technologies within existing systems and data pipelines.
  • Report on data governance and data management metrics, highlighting progress and impact to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Governance Lead should have:

  • A strong educational background in technology, data management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing data governance frameworks within the retail industry.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
