About Our Client

An exciting, ethical business leading on sustainable food and looking to expand within the UAE. A GM as well as a Head of Sales (two positions) will be recruited into this ever expanding team. Bulk rice experience is a must.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Drive revenues and margins
  • Drive operational efficiencies across the entire value chain (paddy procurement, rice milling, logistics and distribution)
  • Develop multi-channel distribution strategies
  • Determine pricing and lead negotiations with buyers
  • Collect market information and derive conclusions on product portfolio and sales strategies
  • Define product portfolio (Basmati and non Basmati varieties)
  • Procure paddy and contribute to 3rd party financing
  • Define and adhere to Quality Control Processes
  • Manage market, operational and financial risks
  • Contribute to the branding strategy of the Company

The Successful Applicant

Key candidate requirements include:

  • Senior business leader in Rice or related businesses / Bulk rice experience and network in UAE is crucial
  • Experience in sales
  • People leader and team builder
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, excellent English language skills
  • Post graduate, preferably w an Agricultural or Science degree
