Job Description

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax planning and reporting.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements to senior management.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives within the property industry.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting and tax operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Accounting and Tax should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
  • Must have experience working within the Africa market.
  • Must have experience working within the European market.
  • Strong expertise in accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders.
