About Our Client

A leading global technology company, looking to expand it's legal department in Dubai.

Job Description

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of operational, regulatory, commercial matters relating to e-commerce mandates- with focus on consumer and IP protection
  • Support the business in understanding and complying with legal and regulatory requirements when launching and operating new products and initiatives
  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements relating to digital and e-commerce platforms
  • Partner with local and international stakeholders across the e-commerce and wider cross-functional teams such as privacy and public policy, setting appropriate priorities and managing legal risk

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong academic background, with preference to those with legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction
  • 3-6 years post qualification experience with IP, consumer protection and other regulatory requirements within the e-commerce space
  • Preference to those with some in-house experience in an international or industry relevant organisation
  • Solid drafting and negotiation skills with strong presentation and communication skills
  • On-the-ground experience will be advantageous
