The MOM/MES Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing integrated Manufacturing Operations Management (iMOM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions that enhance operational efficiency and digitisation for clients.The ideal candidate will have expertise in ISA-95 standards, operational technology (OT), and strong knowledge of TOGAF. Candidates must have previously worked in the Oil & Gas sector.

Job Description



The MOM/MES Solution Architect will be responsible for:

  • Architecture Design: Developing and maintaining the overall architecture for iMOM/MES solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • ISA-95 Implementation: Lead the integration of ISA-95 frameworks into existing operations, ensuring effective data exchange between enterprise, control, and operational technology systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
  • Solution Development: Design and oversee the implementation of MOM/MES solutions for OT environment, including system integration, data analytics, and reporting capabilities.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with industry standards and regulations, particularly in safety, security, and data management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and recommend enhancements to existing systems and work-flows in both IT and OT environments.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation and provide training to users and stakeholders on MOM/MES solutions.



The Successful Applicant

The MOM/MES Solution Architect will be/have:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in MOM/MES solution architecture, and a strong background in the oil and gas sector.
  • In-depth understanding of ISA-95 standards and their application in manufacturing and operational environments.
  • Certification in TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture framework is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in system integration, data modeling, data flows and experience with relevant software platforms (e.g., SAP, OSIsoft PI, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and comfortable interacting with clients/senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of IoT, Industry 4.0 technologies, and cybersecurity in the oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and digital transformation initiatives, particularly in the context of OT.
  • Based in/willing to relocate to Khobar, Saudi Arabia
