Product Manager (Enterprise Apps) - FS

You will own and manage a portfolio of existing and live enterprise applications, with some applications being implemented or built from an application standpoint, working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams.

Job Description

  • Own application lifecycle activities including roadmaps, backlogs, integrations and ongoing enhancements.
  • Gather requirements and features from business users and translate them into functional requirements.
  • Draft and maintain business processes under a business analysis remit.
  • Act as an SME for assigned applications, reviewing functional requirements from a technical perspective.
  • Research and compare applications, engaging with the business during R&D and selection phases.
  • Engage with business users across operations, front office, legal, tax, and business operations during application selection and onboarding.
  • Manage external vendors, enforcing SLAs, change management, release, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure applications remain compliant with regulatory and Information Security requirements, feeding changes into the product roadmap.
  • Use Jira / ITSM tool and ensure delivery aligns with agreed SLAs.
  • Participate in weekly engagements with SMEs for certain application onboardings.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong experience owning and managing enterprise applications within financial services. Buy side / asset management / investment management experience strongly preferred.
  • Background combining product ownership, business analysis, and delivery/project management.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with existing/live platforms rather than product invention.
  • Strong technical understanding of how applications work (not a developer role), including:
    • Fundamentals of how applications are built
    • Object‑oriented concepts (Exposure to Java and Python based apps)
  • Confident working with vendors and technical teams, able to review functional requirements from an overview/technical standpoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with busy senior stakeholders.
  • Able to operate in organisations with multiple moving parts and evolving maturity.
