The Sales Director will lead sales initiatives in the Middle East and APAC region. The ideal candidate will focus on securing new clients within the Manufacturing/Industrial sectors such as refineries, power plants, and large capital-intensive factories, including steel, metal processing units, mining operations, and utilities. The SaaS Platform is mainly sold to the maintenance and reliability teams of large manufacturing units.

Job Description

  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed annual sales targets (US10M)
  • Drive the expansion in the Middle East and APAC by identifying and securing new clients.
  • Establish and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise two remote senior sales professionals to ensure they achieve their individual sales goals.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and budget plans, ensuring they align with company objectives.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Communicate the product's value proposition effectively through compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Support marketing and BDR functions with relevant guidance from customers feedback
  • Oversee the performance of the sales team, set goals, review progress, and identify training needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, finance) to ensure alignment with overall company strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management detailing sales performance and strategic initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • About 10+ years of sales experience within the industrial sector, particularly in refineries, power plants, and capital-intensive industries
  • Experience in Distributed Control Systems, SaaS products, AI/Machine Learning or licensed software application to the industrial environment
  • Previous Experience/Network in Middle East, India and APAC preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strong analytical abilities; adept at listening to client needs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sales teams and developing client-focused solutions that are differentiated and achievable.
  • Proficient at navigating complex sales cycles with effective solutions tailored to client needs
