About Our Client

Our client is a regional manufacturer and supplier of chemicals and specialty chemicals. This role will take charge of our clients plastics & polymers division as they setup a sales office in Dubai to have a greater focus on GCC/ GCC + Africa.

Job Description

Primary responsibilities for the role include the below:

  • Act as critical point of contact for clients/manufacturers, answering queries, providing technical advice and demonstrating new products and application methods
  • Strategically target all polymer producers in the region/ plastic manufacturers
  • Use extensive industrial knowledge of a technical product's features and operations to sell and provide support for these products
  • Asses customer's technical needs, explain Technical details about specialized products, attend sales events and trade shows, collaborate with clients sales teams and train them on the product and selling techniques , develop and advice new products and enquiries from market research and observation

The Successful Applicant

To be a successful applicant for this role, you must have the below experience:

  • BSc in Chemical Engineering with up to 10 years' experience with atleast 3-5 years in a regional sales role
  • Knowledge of the plastics, polymers, polyurethane industry. Awareness of distributors and end users in the region
  • Exposure to working with a distributor or manufacturer and ability to translate a business strategy for a new entrant into the UAE.
  • Track record in doing business with polymer producers and plastic manufacturers in the region
  • Strong contacts and networks in the industry to establish and grow such a business
  • Ability to create a solid business plan
