About Our Client

The client is a start-up government entity that is in the process of setting up a large IT Support function.

Job Description

The Senior Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Analysing current hardware/software infrastructure, and propose enhancements and areas of improvement
  • Drafting IT handbooks, and training users on how to use Technology effectively
  • Installation and maintenance of devices and systems
  • Providing L1/L2 support
  • Upgrades and maintenance of programs and software, and ensuring high level of service for users
  • Communicating with users with regards to issues and resolution
  • Periodic review of hardware and software inventory
  • Proactively recommending improvements in terms of IT service and processes
  • Working closely with Information Security team to ensure IT assets are secure
  • Following and applying IT policies and guidelines for IT Support

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related fields of study
  • 5+ years of experience in IT and Technical Support
  • Knowledgeable in latest IT developments/technologies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in an unstructured start-up environment
  • Proactive, and a self-starter
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong English skills
  • Saudi national
