A large group investing in strong technology governance, portfolio oversight, and strategic alignment

Job Description

  • Sit within the Technology Governance pillar, acting as a central oversight and insight function across the group's technology landscape.
  • Support technology governance, risk, and compliance, including coordination of 4-6 annual audits (e.g. SOC), evidence gathering, and policy/control reviews.
  • Monitor the technology portfolio at a high level, tracking progress, spend, risks, and dependencies across initiatives without owning day to day delivery.
  • Synthesise complex, fragmented inputs into clear, management ready insights, dashboards, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Support technology strategy and operating model initiatives, including roadmap tracking, prioritisation, and execution transparency.
  • Act as a connective layer between technology pillars, ensuring alignment on priorities, dependencies, and governance standards.
  • Engage stakeholders with a consulting mindset, gathering inputs, challenging assumptions constructively, and bringing structure to ambiguity.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5 years' experience from top-tier international technology strategy consulting or a strong financial services environment with exposure to technology governance, risk, and strategy.
  • Proven experience supporting audit, risk, strategy, and portfolio level initiatives, rather than hands on delivery or engineering roles.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis capability, able to quickly distil complex, high level inputs into clear, management ready insights.
  • Clear, structured communicator with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and challenge constructively when required.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, unstructured environments, bringing common sense, structure, and a pragmatic consulting mindset.
  • Solid conceptual understanding of enterprise technology (applications, data, cyber, EA, governance models), with the ability to translate technical inputs into business relevant perspectives.

  • Direct exposure to senior technology and business leadership
  • Opportunity to influence how technology is governed, prioritised, and communicated across the group
