What led you to recruitment from your background in Sports?

After spending just over 7 Years working with Liverpool Football Club as a Domestic and International Academy Coach, it was important for me to find a company that shared a similar ethos for global recognition whilst sustaining their initial identity. Coming from a high pressured and competitive environment, I wanted to work for a meritocratic business where competitiveness was rewarded whilst being supported by a team who strive for success. PageGroup certainly has that.

Why did you join PageGroup?

I joined PageGroup as they are a global brand with a reputation for growth, success and development. When I was meeting with different levels of seniority within PageGroup I noticed that all of them wanted the same thing - personal career growth within the Group - and the Group actively encourages this.

What is most rewarding about your job?

I think the most rewarding aspects of my role are the satisfaction of finding someone that dream role, increasing the capability of a client’s function and being rewarded and recognised by PageGroup for the hard work you put in.

What skills from your background in Sports helped with your transition into recruitment?

My background with Liverpool Football Club certainly equipped me with the right mental attitude towards competition, team work and desire for continuous success. PageGroup certainly shares the same values which is why it was an easy decision to join them.

What advice would you give someone with a Sports background who wanted a job in recruitment?

If you are the type of sportsperson who is always looking to improve, advance and be better than your competition then recruitment and PageGroup will suit you. You have to give 100% for your team, company and yourself and if you are not prepared to do this, then recruitment isn’t for you.
