I was approached by Michael Page in 2015 whilst working in the Banking sector within Credit Risk. The Management team at our offices in Sandton, South Africa informed me of their global mobility program and their passion for developing and growing talent internally to help with their strong organic growth policy globally. I immediately knew that this was a company that would make things happen in my pursuit for career growth. This was one of my first comments during the interview process, ‘I want a career, not a job’. My Operational Director pushed me to my limits, groomed me and prepared me for the challenges that a true global company provides. I joined the Michael Page Saudi Arabia team in 2018, after never having even travelled to the Middle East!
Now, I not only manage the business for Banking and Financial Services, but also for Finance & Accounting, and am fast developing a new discipline for Governance, Risk & Compliance. I now find myself in a truly global environment in an office that consist of over 15 different nationalities. Very few companies are able to deliver on promises made (then again it is also a two way street) but truly, they delivered as soon as I did. And having the knowledge of the company’s internal mobility programs I can honestly say that few would be able to compare to PageGroup.
