The Construction Manager leads daily site operations, while the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Architectural Engineers serve as the contractor/developer's direct delivery engineers, taking responsibility for execution and site inspections, with Civil Engineers also supporting architectural works.

Job Description

* Oversee day-to-day construction operations across all disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical, architectural) on site.

* Manage and coordinate the Senior and Junior discipline engineers, ensuring works are executed per approved drawings, schedule, budget, and quality/safety standards.

* Act as the primary interface between the Project Director and the site engineering teams, escalating critical issues and decisions as required.

* Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and resources across work fronts to meet the project schedule.

* Monitor construction progress against the master schedule and drive corrective actions for delays or under-performance.

* Ensure formal site work inspections are carried out at all required construction stages prior to sign-off and progression.

* Coordinate interdisciplinary work sequencing and resolve site-level conflicts between disciplines.

* Oversee direct labor crews and/or subcontractors engaged in construction works, ensuring productivity and workmanship standards are met.

* Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality/safety teams to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.

* Report construction progress, risks, and issues to the Project Director on a regular basis.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Construction Manager' should have:

  • 15 years experience overall.
  • Practical capability in overseeing construction activities across towers/high-rise projects.
  • Experience coordinating site operations, schedules and day-to-day construction work.
  • Ability to monitor project progress and respond to site delivery requirements.
  • Knowledge of planning labour, materials and equipment for construction activity.
  • Ability to maintain accurate construction records and provide clear project updates.
  • Experience working with project stakeholders to coordinate construction requirements.
