Job Description

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain the project cost control system in accordance with the approved project budget.
  • Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and cost performance against approved budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare and update project cost reports, cash flow forecasts, cost curves, and financial dashboards for management review.
  • Coordinate with Planning Engineers to integrate project progress with cost performance and earned value analysis.
  • Review and verify subcontractor payment applications, procurement commitments, and cost allocations.
  • Prepare budget revisions, cost forecasts, and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reports throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential cost overruns, financial risks, and budget deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the evaluation of variation orders, claims, and change orders from a cost impact perspective.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Contracts, Finance, and Construction teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor project contingency utilization and ensure proper cost coding and cost allocation.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management reports, project financial summaries, and executive cost presentations.
  • Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with company procedures and project contractual requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management principles and project controls.
