The HR landscape in the Middle East is expected to become increasingly strategic in 2027, with organisations focusing on workforce capability, adaptability, and AI integration. As emerging technologies reshape how work is performed, HR teams will play a key role in identifying future skills requirements, enabling workforce transformation, and ensuring businesses have the talent needed to support growth. This is expected to drive demand for expertise across workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, talent intelligence, and skills development.

Centres of Excellence will continue to strengthen, particularly across Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Talent Management. Skills-based hiring, predictive talent mapping, leadership development, internal mobility, and succession planning are expected to remain key priorities. In parallel, ongoing nationalisation initiatives across the GCC will increase the focus on developing local talent pipelines and future leadership capability.

People analytics will also continue to evolve, enabling organisations to make more informed decisions around retention, productivity, engagement, and workforce investment. As a result, HR's role will extend far beyond operational delivery, positioning the function as a critical driver of business performance, transformation, and long-term organisational success.
