Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsJoin a global financial services firm with board-level AML exposureStrong career progression and visibility within the organisationAbout Our ClientOur client is a leading global financial services and investment organisation with operations across multiple jurisdictions.Job DescriptionSupport the Group MLRO in overseeing the organisation's AML, sanctions, KYC, and financial crime compliance framework.Conduct independent reviews and assurance assessments of AML and financial crime controls.Lead thematic reviews, control testing exercises, and quality assurance initiatives.Identify control gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen compliance processes.Support enterprise-wide financial crime risk assessments and monitoring activities.Prepare management information, reports, and recommendations for senior management and governance committees.Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.Review and support client onboarding, enhanced due diligence, periodic reviews, and sanctions screening activities.Review higher-risk client relationships, PEP classifications, and financial crime escalations.Support suspicious activity reporting processes and regulatory reporting obligations.Conduct or oversee AML/KYC due diligence on counterparties and third parties.Act as deputy to the Group MLRO and provide support across governance and oversight responsibilities.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.6-10 years' experience in AML, Financial Crime Compliance, Risk Management, or Regulatory Compliance within banking, asset management, wealth management, investment management, or financial services.Experience operating within a regulated environment and interacting with regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders.Proven background in AML assurance, compliance monitoring, quality assurance, audit, or control testing functions.Previous MLRO or Deputy MLRO experience is advantageous.Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA Diploma in AML, CFCS, or equivalent are highly desirable.Strong working knowledge of AML, sanctions, KYC/CDD, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, and PEP reviews.Exposure to international AML/CFT regulatory frameworks and supervisory authorities such as CIMA, Cayman FRA, FATF, OFAC, EU AML Directives, and US BSA/AML requirements would be highly advantageous.Strong analytical skills and the ability to challenge and assess control effectiveness.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and report-writing capabilities.What's on OfferExposure to complex international AML and financial crime compliance matters.Broad regional and global remit across multiple jurisdictions.Competitive compensation and benefits package.ContactAsma SiddiquiQuote job refJN-072026-7065040Job summarySectorBanking & Financial ServicesSubsectorCompliance & LegalIndustryFinancial ServicesLocationBahrainContract typePermanentConsultant nameAsma SiddiquiJob referenceJN-072026-7065040
