Job Description

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using the company's accounting systems

· Prepare and post accounting entries across assets, liabilities, revenue, and expense categories

· Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions

· Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, petty cash and cash flow reports

· Manage accounts payable and receivable with timely invoice processing and collections

· Review ageing reports and monitor cash inflows

· Reconcile all bank accounts and credit card transactions

· Support monthly close and year‑end closing activities

· Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial analysis to support decision-making

· Monitor cash flow and identify risks or improvement opportunities

· Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax filings and documentation

· Prepare audit schedules and assist with internal and external audit requirements

· Generate accurate financial and management reports on a regular basis

· Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions and process improvements

· Recommend updates to accounting systems, policies and internal controls

· Develop and document accounting policies and processes to enhance governance

· Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to regulatory standards

· Perform ad-hoc financial reporting and accounting tasks as needed

The Successful Applicant

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce

· Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA

· Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding

· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and UAE tax regulations

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Sage 300, NetSuite or Oracle

· Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills

· Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and perform under pressure

· Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work independently

· UAE experience is mandatory - candidates must be based in the UAE
