Unique opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to take ownership of the compliance function within a growing trading organisation. The role requires a commercially minded individual who can work independently and provide practical compliance guidance. You will partner closely with stakeholders across trading, procurement, finance, risk and operations, identifying business risks and ensuring compliance frameworks support commercial objectives.

Job Description

  • Act as the primary compliance lead, managing the function independently.
  • Provide practical compliance guidance across trading, procurement, finance and operational teams.
  • Identify and assess compliance and business risks, implementing effective controls and solutions.
  • Support international trading activities, ensuring compliance processes align with business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide proactive compliance advice across the organisation.



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven compliance experience within a commodity trading house, agribusiness, energy trading, shipping or a similar international trading environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate compliance, business risk, third-party risk and commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound compliance decisions without constant supervision.
  • Experience supporting trading activities, including exposure to hedging, physical trading or related commercial operations.
  • Additional language skills such as Arabic, Portuguese or French are advantageous, although strong English speakers will also be considered.
