The organisation is authorised by a recognised financial centre regulator and manages private investment vehicles across multiple jurisdictions, with a strong focus on governance, fiduciary responsibility and regulatory complianceJob DescriptionEstablish and maintain a risk‑based internal audit plan covering the management company, managed funds, holding entities and portfolio companiesDevelop internal audit policies, methodologies and procedures aligned with recognised international internal audit standardsConduct risk‑based and ad‑hoc audits and prepare clear, comprehensive audit reportsDevelop and maintain an Internal Audit Charter for board approvalReview compliance with fund documentation, partnership agreements, valuation policies and applicable regulationsAudit fund expense allocation, fee calculations, carried interest processes, capital calls and distributionsIndependently review valuation governance, including Level 3 assets, models and assumptionsAssess the effectiveness of compliance frameworks, conflicts of interest management and allocation policiesPerform thematic reviews on emerging and key risks, including cybersecurity, ESG and outsourcingAudit and oversee key third‑party service providers such as fund administrators, custodians and valuation agentsTrack remediation actions, escalate high‑risk issues and provide an annual internal audit opinion to senior stakeholdersAct as a key point of contact for regulators on internal audit matters and support investor due diligenceBuild and manage the internal audit function, including oversight of outsourced providers where applicableThe Successful ApplicantA successful SVP Internal Audit should have:10-13 years of experience in audit, with a minimum of 5 years in internal audit within asset management, private equity or financial servicesBachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Risk Management or Business AdministrationCertified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification is requiredExperience working with leading financial regulators; knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks is advantageousProven experience designing and delivering risk‑based audit programmes and reporting to boards or audit committeesStrong expertise in governance, risk and internal control frameworksExcellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skillsAbility to operate independently while engaging constructively with senior managementHigh ethical standards and strong professional judgementExcellent command of English; additional languages such as Arabic or French are advantageousWhat's on OfferOpportunity to join a growth focused business and great benefitsContactGitika AggarwalQuote job refJN-032026-6980426Job summarySectorBanking & Financial ServicesSubsectorAccountancy & FinanceIndustryFinancial ServicesLocationDohaContract typePermanentConsultant nameGitika AggarwalJob referenceJN-032026-6980426
