The UAE cabinet has announced new Emiratisation rules which aims to raise Emiratisation rates to 10% by the end of 2026.

This means private sector companies with at least 50 skilled employees must ensure 3% of their workforce is made up of Emiratis by July 1, going up to 4% target by the end of the year as part of the government’s Emiratisation initiative.

After this, the Emirati employment rate is to increase to 6% in 2024, 8% in 2025 and 10% in 2026.
