The business has a diversified portfolio and a strong presence in emerging economies, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment for a commercially minded tax professional looking to make a significant impact.Job Description* Lead and manage all tax matters across the Group's international operations* Oversee corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other direct and indirect tax obligations* Manage UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance requirements* Coordinate tax reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions* Review and advise on cross-border transactions and international business activities* Assess the tax implications of intercompany arrangements, financing structures, dividends and royalty payments* Evaluate withholding tax positions and permanent establishment exposure across jurisdictions* Support transfer pricing compliance, documentation reviews and benchmarking exercises* Liaise with external tax advisors on tax returns, tax opinions, audits and regulatory matters* Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business* Support tax planning initiatives and advise on efficient structures for investments and growth projects* Review the tax implications of acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and corporate transactions* Partner with Finance and Treasury teams on funding and financing arrangements* Identify potential tax risks and ensure appropriate controls and processes are implemented* Manage tax audits, disputes and correspondence with tax authorities* Ensure accurate tax provisions and disclosures are reflected in financial reporting* Maintain a comprehensive tax compliance calendar and ensure statutory deadlines are met* Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures and governance frameworks* Provide practical tax advice to commercial and operational teams* Act as the primary tax subject matter expert across the organisation* Travel regularly to international operating locations, including Africa, Asia-Pacific and other jurisdictions as requiredThe Successful Applicant* Qualified CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification* 8 to 12 years of relevant tax experience* Previous experience within a Big 4 firm and/or multinational group environment* Strong background in international taxation and cross-border transactions* Solid understanding of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT* Experience with transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements* Knowledge of withholding taxes and international tax treaties* Ability to work independently in a standalone role* Commercially minded with strong analytical capabilities* Experience managing external advisors and tax authority relationships* Exposure to operations across Africa and/or the Asia-Pacific region would be beneficial* Willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel - travelling on a monthly basis to the Africa officesWhat's on Offer* Opportunity to build and own the tax function* High visibility role with direct access to senior leadership* Broad international scope across multiple jurisdictions* Exposure to complex cross-border transactions and strategic projects* Dynamic and growing international business* Significant autonomy and decision-making responsibilityContactCheyenne CoutinhoQuote job refJN-092026-7110986Job summarySectorTaxSubsectorTax In HouseIndustryIndustrial / ManufacturingWhereDubaiContract typePermanentConsultant nameCheyenne CoutinhoJob referenceJN-092026-7110986
