What led you to recruitment from your background in Financial Services?

I was in Financial Services. I was a Credit Analyst in the Commercial segment and always wanted to move in to a corporate role, dealing with complex stakeholders. When Michael Page approached me I saw it as an opportunity to do so.

Why did you join PageGroup?

Because of its global footprint, the fact that no one was manning the Financial Services desk (so opportunities for growth) and I enjoyed getting to know the people that interviewed me.

What is most rewarding about your job?

When I change a candidate life by helping him/her find a great opportunity.

What skills from your background helped with your transition into recruitment?

My background in financial due diligence and from studying Investment Management helped me to gain a distinct interest in the industry which allows me to relate quite well with my candidates and clients.

What advice would you give someone with a Financial Services background who wanted a job in recruitment?

If you want a fast paced job whereby you will be competing against the best sales people in your office globally, then this is the place for you!
